About the Role

As Novee’s first VP Finance, you will build and lead our finance function from the ground up. You will own the company’s financial strategy, planning, and operations, partnering closely with the CEO and leadership team to drive responsible, data-driven growth. This is a hands-on, high-impact role that combines tactical execution with strategic leadership as we scale our product, go-to-market, and operations.

Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Planning

Own the company’s financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
Build and maintain operating models, cash flow forecasts, and runway planning.
Drive long-term financial planning and scenario modeling to support strategic decisions.
Partner with the CEO on board materials, investor updates, and fundraising readiness.

Accounting, Reporting & Controls

Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
Deliver accurate financial statements, management reports, KPIs, and variance analyses.
Establish financial policies, controls, and best practices suited for a scaling SaaS business.
Manage relationships with accountants, auditors, and tax advisors.

Systems, Tools & Infrastructure

Select, implement, and own financial systems and automation tools.
Build scalable processes for AR/AP, payroll, vendor management, and expense controls.
Ensure high-quality financial data and visibility across the company.

Compliance & Corporate Operations

Oversee tax, statutory filings, and compliance across relevant jurisdictions.
Manage equity programs, option grants, and cap table coordination.
Lead banking relationships, cash management, payments, and treasury operations.
Support SOC2 and other compliance processes related to financial controls.

Business Partnering (Product, GTM & Ops)

Partner with Sales, Marketing, and CS to define pricing, unit economics, and pipeline forecasting.
Build financial frameworks that support repeatable, scalable growth.
Provide actionable insights that translate financial data into business impact.
Collaborate with Product & Operations on strategic planning and resourcing.

Requirements

8+ years of experience in finance within high-growth tech or SaaS companies
Proven experience as a VP Finance / Head of Finance or senior finance leader owning the function end-to-end
Strong background in FP&A, financial modeling, budgeting, and management reporting
Deep understanding of SaaS revenue models, ARR, unit economics, and financial KPIs
Hands-on mindset- able to operate independently as a one-person finance team in a scaling environment
Experience partnering directly with founders, boards, and investors
Excellent analytical skills with high attention to detail
Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken)
